When you were first told that you had diabetes, do you remember how you felt?

Do you remember feeling shocked or angry?

Were you certain that there was some kind of mistake?

Perhaps you lashed out at those you love most .....or at your doctor.

It was likely frustration, grief, or even anger that fueled such outbursts.  You may have been angry at your doctor for not finding out sooner, or angry at yourself for all that weight you had gained, or, perhaps, you felt “down,” sad, depressed, and/or a sense of loss.   Whatever you felt, it probably was not the a real positive moment for you.

Since that time, you may have been through some other medical tests, started on some new medications, been told to “eat better,” and to exercise.  But....did anyone actually explain:

Ø                 what those test results really mean?

Ø           what those test results “should” be and how to get them to that target level?

Ø                 the action(s) of your medicine and the best time and way to take them in relation to meals, exercise, and sleep?

Ø                 exactly what “eating better” consists of?

Ø                 what kind, how much, and how hard to exercise?

Ø                 safety precautions regarding exercise, meals, and medication?

Ø                 whether or not there is a cure for diabetes?

Don't you wish that you had answers to the many questions that you face each day regarding taking care of yourself?  Diabetes education has been providing answers to those questions and many others for about 25 years now.  Most diabetes educators work in a hospital or Diabetes Center.  However, even people who have previously attended classes will occasionally run into situations that are frustrating.  For example, doesn't it just make you want to scream when you follow the doctor's instructions to the letter about something, i.e. like how often to test your blood glucose (BG) at home, and then the doctor never even asks to see the test results?  If the doctor does look at the blood glucose (BG) values, does he ever suggest anything other than “more medicine?”  Have you ever wondered, “isn't there another way?”

Well, have I got GREAT NEWS for you!!!!  There IS a better way to manage your diabetes care.  Your Diabetes Coach, Inc can help you manage your diabetes, answer your many questions, and help you find untapped resources...for solutions...to help you feel better, be healthier, and live longer!  Click on the "How you Benefit" link in the left column and find out more.
